My standard wood duck nesting boxes are made using 19/32" all-weather CDX plywood and corrosion resistant all-weather screws, to the recommended specifications of Ducks Unlimited. The boxes are very sturdy and will last many years. Other cavity nesting ducks and birds will also use these boxes.

The boxes feature an opening side door for maintenance, holes on the bottom for drainage and ventilation, and a built-in ladder on the inside face for ducklings to climb out. The box will come with cedar shavings for nesting material, (3) 3" galvanized lag bolts for mounting, and instructions to help you choose a good spot for proper placement. These boxes look very nice and would be great at the lake, on your pond, or next to the river.

U-bolts for mounting on a metal pole are available for an extra $5.00 at the buyer's request.

A coat of clear, high quality, protective water sealer will prolong the life of the wood.  Water sealer can be applied to the exterior of  any duck box for an additional $15.
